I've rewritten the website HenkStaal.com based on an existing design. To make the website more user friendly I've developed a CMS. With this CMS the owner can create, edit and delete the content on his website.

TrapperDesign.com is started after I've made several websites for other people. After 3.5 years of travelling I'm staying at onde place for a while and thought this to be the right time to start my own website. I've vuild the website using PHP, MYSQL, some Javascript, HTML and CSS. I like to keep things organised and simple and in my eyes I did just that with this site. Where possible I keep use simple HTML and CSS instead of Javascripts.

The website consists of three major themes. Text, Photo and Web. Every part is focussed on one theme to keep it easy to find the information. The main menu on the top is tabbed and the submenus for each section are visible in the blue menu on the right.

GeesjesBeelden.nl is a website I made for artist Geesje van der Veen. The website is an online gallery for the sculptures made by Geesje van der Veen. I've made a cms with PHP and MYSQL to give total freedom of the content to Geesje van der Veen. Using the cms she can change or update her content and she can upload pictures of the sculptures she's made.

The design of the website is simpel with spare use of color. The color I've used returns in a few details like the color of the links. The logo I develloped for this website is now being used as the main logo on Geesje van der Veen's business cards.

I've develloped this website Esprons.nl for the owners of a holiday home in Spain. As with all my websites I've made a cms where the owners can login and update the website by themselves.

I've used PHP with a database system for the data of MYSQl. The system reads the visitors browser to see which language settings there are. The website is made multilingual in German, French, Spanish, English and Dutch.

All the pictures used on the website Esprons.nl are taken by me.

In 2005 I've started on a cycling trip from the Netherlands to Australia together with my girlfriend. By now we've crossed 20 countries on our bicycles with a total of more than 36.000 kilometers of riding. I've develloped the website Wereldtrappers.nl before we set off on our journey. Because we had to update our website using different computers every time I've made a cms to keep things easy while on the road.

In the beginning we used Joomla as our cms but the last couple of years we use the cms I wrote for the website. Joomla is a very nice and free Content Managament System but I liked the idea of trying to build my own system. Wereldtrappers.nl has been my strating point as a web designer and develloper. I'm always trying to improve myself since I scripted the first version of the besite.

Our journey is still continuing untill today. At present we live in the South of Spain and are looking at the possibilities of staying here.

I've made this website Immiegroothuismink.nl for my mother. It's simpel and clear in design. To make things easy for my mother see can login into her cms and update all the content herself.
