Dreaming with a yellow tree
1 year ago -- Comments 1
Sometimes it's so good to dream away with a load of pictures. At least for me it is. To give myself a break of my job hunting I've been looking trough my pictures of New Zealand. I found this picture of the yellow tree in the barren landscape of mountainous New Zealand. Go to Pictures to view this picture in a bigger size. I'll just dream on......

Flowers in winter
1 year ago -- Comments 0
Winter is here in Spain. The cold has arrived and I see no one on the streets without their coats. There is a cold wind, we have days of rain and the olive trees are soaking in the mud. I don't know if this is normal.

Pure Laos
1 year ago -- Comments 0
We are early at the border between China and Laos because we are in the mood to discover a new country. Before they open the fence at the Chinese side there is some sort of flag ceremony. The customs officers are marching, shouting and saluting before the Chinese flag. After this they open the border crossing, give us a stamp in our passports and let us through into Laos. At the customs at the Laos side we arrange a 30 days visa and after this we are cycling through the hills in this new country for us.

A day without cycling
1 year ago -- Comments 0
We cycle only for a few kilometres and then we arrive at the bus stop. From here we have to find a bus that will take us to Quetta. Soon we find a nice bus an after we agreed about the price we take our bags off. A strange man arrives and tells us that this bus won’t leave and that we should take his bus. We don’t trust him at all and ask our money back and we decide to go and look for another bus. A couple of hundred meters away from this man we run in to a friendly bus driver who is leaving soon to Quetta. Together with the bus boys I climb on the roof of the bus to make sure that our bikes and bags are safe.

The first steps in Baluchistan, Pakistan...
1 year ago -- Comments 0
Baluchistan, stated by many as a lawless state, a province without control but full of riots, men with beards and guns. For us Baluchistan is the start of Pakistan, driving on the wrong side of the road and colourful trucks. After a ride in a pick-up we step out in front of the Iranian border post. The building stands in the middle of a sandy stretch and the dust is everywhere when a truck passes. Everything looks old, in bad shape and deserted. This doesn't look like anything we've expected to see as a border between the beautiful Iran and the for us new Pakistan.

A journey without ending
1 year ago -- Comments 0
I never noticed a silence before which was as quiet as today. Everything goes slow and I've got goes bumps in y neck. I see the leaves falling and the sky has a colour as never before. The sun stands above the horizon and the mountains look like sharp teeth biting into the sky. Autumn, yes... it's autumn. The road ascends and at the end I've slept.
