TrapperDesign©! itself started off as a little joke while developing my first website. But today it's my brand name for the design work I do as a web developer. I develop and design websites as a freelancer. Depending on the wishes of the customer I develop websites with or without CMS and on the basis of an existing or new design. I use HTML, CSS, PHP, MYSQL and other.

A few hours ago I've created a LinkedIn account for myself and trapperDesign. I've heard about it in the past but today I took my time looking into it. At first glance it looks interesting. I'm curious to see what LinkedIn will bring me in the near future.
LinkedIn looks like a great place to go networking. What i liked a lot was the ability to make a profile for Trapperdesign besides making one for myself. I'll keep you posted about my findings with LinkedIn.

the past couple of days I've been playing with Sitemaps. since I've got some time and and internet connection I've been looking into the well knwon world of SEO. I was curious what I can do to improve the SiteRanking of TrapperDesign.com within search engines.
Search Engine Optimization is a term mostly all webmasters have seen on the net. There are endless articles written about it and it's nice to spent some time reading about it and to try some things out for myself.
Since a couple of years Sitemaps are also part of the SEO hype. Google, Yahoo, Ask and MSN Live (now Bing) allow the same protocol for Sitemaps (Sitemap 0.90 protocol) which makes it easy because you just have to create one Sitemap for many search engines.

Sometimes it's so good to dream away with a load of pictures. At least for me it is. To give myself a break of my job hunting I've been looking trough my pictures of New Zealand. I'm from the year 1980 and since my 16th I've become more and more interested in travelling, writing and designing. I started photographing when I was 18 and since than I've made a couple of long trips in Asia, Europe and Oceania.
In 2002 I've started develloping websites. The first website I ever made is wereldtrappers.nl which I made for my journey by bicycle lasting from 2005 until 2009.
After four years of travelling and living in foreign countries I came back to the Netherlands in May 2009. Now I work as a freelancer doing webdesign, photography and writing.
